Moving Mind

While I'm counting the days to Stockholm I've been having a few things on my mind that I would love to bring in my load.

Maybe this t-shirt is spot on how a country side girl (read me) feel after a while in the hectic city?
'Give Me Some Space' T-shirt from DEDICATED.

My wallet is falling apart. This affordable cutie would be the perfect replacement for my cash and cards.
'Karri' Wallet from MARIMEKKO.

I've been smelling on this candle everytime I've seen it in a store. Its scent has always mesmerized me, but though this I never got down to buying it. I love how scents have such strong association to people, places and memories so I'm thinking this would be a great moving in present to myself as it would forever symbolize this little adventure of mine.
Scented Candle 'Crips Champagne' from VOLUSPA.

Spring aka sneaker season is soon around the corner and right now I feel for a chunkier model on my feet.
'Air Force 1 Upstep' from NIKE.

Pussy Power

While Googling around for some pottery the other day I happened to come across this piece of art by the danish designer/ceramicist Per Rehfeldt. So beautiful and genius, don't you think? I predict it's a unique one-of-a-kind vase cause I can't seem to find it anywhere. Though I've sent him an email asking about it so cross your fingers he will get back to me. I just couldn't resist.

On My Mind

Though it's a few seasons old, I just can't stop thinking of the Berlin trench coat from TOTÊME. It would have been perfect to wear in the UK in a few weeks. Let's make a wish to the second hand gods...

I can feel extremely ambivalent regarding what kind of style I prefer at home, but though this I've recognize a pattern that keeps reoccurring year after year. As the seasons are changing, my interior tend to do the same. During the summer I like warm accents such as gold and a little color here and there. But now, as we're heading towards autumn and winter, I prefer a more simple style with a cooler palette. This HK Pitcher from GEORG JENSEN would be the dreamiest centerpiece at my kitchen table this autumn/winter.

After reading an interview with Finnish style star Hanna Kovanen, this facial oil from RAAW IN A JAR really captured my interest. As I'm looking for new skin care products and the fact that it's a 2-in-1 (serum AND facial oil), this might very well be one of the products I invest in.

Classic, simple and timeless it is. These earrings from EDBLAD qualify on all three. Such a bargain!

Passion For Pink

Hello Monday! Is it just me loving this first day of the week? It always makes me feel so excited and full of energy, ready to tackle both work and my to-do list.

This week I'm getting that thumb out and finally order these two lip thingies from ILIA. I really love a classic red lip and doesn't want to comprise on the quality, which in my case means natural and non toxic ingredients. This brand does live up to my standards so I'm looking forward to try them out.

And speaking of trying out... Ok, sorry for the silly choice of words now, but can you imagine my shock when my bf (even more silly that it was him of everyone) who told me there was a new YSL mascara out! The Shock, it's called and apparently it's said to be even better(!) than the original The Shocking. Love its black and rosé pink packaging and can't wait to try this one either. Guess it's the first time I'm happy I'm running out of mascara, haha.

Loved by women all over for his iconic perfumes, Narciso Rodriguez just recently launched a new perfume to his sought-after collection – Fleur Musc and as the name tells, I predict this can be a real joy for the nose!

Oh, and pink in general... I've fallen completely in love with this color. Somehow it makes me so happy. It's even so serious that I've been considering painting a few walls in this color! And scrolling through the style star Linn Eklund's Instagram feed makes my heart skip even further. Check out to see yourself. Time will tell if I'm brave enough to buy that bucket...

You're A Star

The last couple of weeks I've been totally obsessed with everything astrological and how the sun, moon and the entire solar system affect our beings and behaviors. Every since I was I kid I've been mesmerized by the stars and what's out there. I nearly even applied to the Space Science high school in Kiruna, but changed my mind because it was so far away from home. Anyhow there's something appealing with not knowing, don't you think? It triggers our mind and imagination, makes us dream, but also question who and what we really are. Though there are times in life when we feel lost and blank. Like no one understands us, not even ourself sometimes. These moments you should always remember that there's no coincidence that you became the one you are. It's all written in the stars and if we're willing to it can give us guidance and clarity to move forward and become the best version of the one we are meant to be. For new perceptions and knowledge about yourself and the people around you I really recommend you to check out Astro.com.

Remember this dreamy home? Well, it's sold and gone, but I can't resist doing a post about it anyway. The interior styling was oh so right so I just had to make a little collage with ready-to-shop products for you in the kind of same style.

Do you feel the same? Now when autumn is here I'm craving for new things to decorate my home with. Lamps, carpets, ottomans – you name it. It's a joy rearranging stillebens and to move around things to new places, don't you think?

Next thing I'm about to is to actually build my very own headboard! After years(!) of searching I just can't seem to find the right one. Either the style is right, but in wrong color or it costs a fortune. Now I only need to find the perfect fabric. I'm telling you – it won't be easy so wish me luck.

What can I say – I'm speechless. This dream home is currently for sale at Hemnet and I just can't stop looking at these pictures. So perfect, sooo pricey...

Thursday Thoughts

And suddenly autumn is around the corner and I'm paler than a paper sheet. When you enjoyed your summer holidays I was working my ass off. It feels like sh-t to have missed out on the beautiful Swedish summer, but that's the bitter truth. So, you can imagine my crave for some sun now, uh? What destination I dream of? MALLORCA.

As the evenings are getting darker I've started to look for a decorative lamp to light up my kitchen area. If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate on this masterpiece – Decanterlight Chandelier from LEE BROOM.

Darker days means darker nails. Well, not neccesarily, but I've been looking at Chanel's Rouge Noir for a long time, but as I'm very picky with ingredients I go for the most similar 5-free choice – Wicked from ESSIE.

Happy Easter!

Just wanted to step by and wish you all a very HAPPY EASTER!

Hope you're spending it with someone you love and enjoying yourself as much as you can. I will spend it with my family eating too much food and if the weather is nice we're off for a trip with the snow scooter tomorrow.

All the best! xx

On My Mind

I've said it before, but this winter has really felt like an eternity. It gets worser for every year. I need sunshine. Warmth. Simplicity. Things that make life feel easy. When the sun is shining, I am shining. That's the equation.

To help myself endure the last few months of snow and coldness I dream and wish for lighter, softer colors and do things that makes me happy. Like buying colorful tulips for the weekend, cook a halloumi sallad for lunch (a summer classic of mine) and always make sure to head out and seize those rare rays as soon the sun peeks. It's in the small things. At least I do my best to tell myself so.

BOMBER JACKET
When spotted on shoulders both at Italian it-girl Gilda Ambrosio and our Scandinavian layering expert Pernille Teisbaek during the ongoing fashion weeks, we know this is the coat du jour. I play safe and go for a black one. It lasts for years as this style actually is kind of a classic.
MA1 Zip Bomber jacket from TOPSHOP.

PLYWOOD
What's not to love about this wonderful material? It's both cheap and beautiful (not som often that happens..) and gives warmth and texture to a room. I'm so eager to build/make something with it. Just haven't figured out what yet.

SCENT
Still doesn't own a single scent from this brand, but I would definitely not mind one. The bottles themselves are worth buying them for, especially one of their latest which is a tribute to the nurses who saved thousands of lives on the front lines of World War 1. Great cause and I'm so excited to smell it.

PLATFORMS
It all started when I saw Petra Marklund on the Swedish morning news program, Nyhetsmorgon, a few months ago. She wore the black version of these stunners and since then they have been stuck in my mind. Then I found out they are available in so many other colors too. I mean, look at these pink/copper metallic ones... So awesome!

IPHONE CASE
In Christmas present my dear bf bought me a new cell phone. Of course my new baby needs protection and what would suit better than this one?

I'm back #2

@saemlstaint

Ok. My computer broke down. Again. This time I just laughed. Poor old fella. Had a friend over last night who made some magic and now it all seem to work again. To our surprise – better than ever!

So, I'm sending you the prettiest flowers and deepest apologies if someone happened to miss me(?). Fingers crossed I'm back for good now! xx

"If you can't eat it,
don't put it on your skin"

Latest issue of STYLEBY and a sneak peek of our new coffee table. Yes, indeed, but then we have that pink tube (my facial cleanser) in the middle of the picture. It's nearly finished so today I've spent hours(!) looking for a new regimen for my pretty little face. Right now I'm in a period when I feel for some luxury and to really pamper myself a little extra.

I've read about it before and had almost forgot its name, but luckily I found it again – DR. ALKAITIS. This skin care line is really one of a kind. The products are all 100% natural and raw, hand crafted and made with the finest selection of organically grown plants, herbs, fruits and seeds. I'm so curious to try them out so I seriously think I will place an order this week. Because I'm worth it, right?

On My Mind

A sunny beach by all means, but the more I travel (ok, it's not much, buuut, you know...), the more I appreciate the arctic climate with our scenic mountains, roaring rivers and some extreme weather a little in between. Right now I can't stop thinking of ICELAND for some reason. Definitely my next dream destination.

Those heels have been stuck in my mind for weeks now. What a statement shoe! Love the fringes and monochrome colors. Woven patent-leather and suede mules from PROENZA SCHOULERs Pre-fall collection.

Read about these new fragrances from the Japanese beauty brand SENSAI a while ago. It's actually their first scents ever and according to the notes it really feels like these two beauties is something that would suit around my neck. So curious to smell them! SENSAI The Silk EdT and SENSAI The Silk EdP.

Tried these jeans on just for fun while bf was looking for some clothes a few months ago and holy macaroni what a great fit! I'm talking tailor made, mama. Perfect stretch and so so comfortable. Unfortunately L:32 so they were a bit too short. Livier Flare Jeans from DIESEL.

If I was about to get a new kitchen, this is exactly on point how I would do it. Such a pure perfection! The delicate colors and the genuine, natural materials... It's a dream!

Balcony Dreams

The rain never seems to end. All night and all day it's been pouring down. Instead of looking out I dream away to warmer days ahead. I can't wait to decorate my balcony with lots of colorful flowers, to have long breakfasts in the sun and to sip some bubbles in the evening. Where are you, summer?

Pink

Having a thing for pink at the moment. Perhaps it's the spring heading upon us.

Annika von Holdt's sofa really makes the entire room. And that photo wall, just perfect! Actually I've been thinking of arranging a wall like this myself. Love the personality it gives to your home, having pictures of your friends and family etc. Black and white ones are the most beautiful.

Can't wait to days when you can run around like this, in heels and skirt. Also it reminds me I need more color in my wardrobe. That cozy knit, yes please.

Pink and gold, a match made in heaven. Skip your safe card nude and go for a more pink-ish one next time you're about to do your nails. At least I will.

Thankful

#fullmoon via Instagram @saemlstaint

So, did I get that ass going? Oh, I sure did. Unfortunately no Rochas turned up so instead I threw on my runners and headed outdoor for a long walk. And just like that my mood changed. I felt my lips curl up in a smile. Instead of grumpy I suddenly felt grateful.

I thanked for having legs that carried me forward, over hills and slippery stones.
Ears to enjoy the concert, singing birds in all eager tones.

Eyes to witness the season changing, farewell to winter's gloom.
Give way to all tiny buds that impatiently want to burst out and bloom.

All we have is now.

May your weekend be lovely! xx

Flea finds
BLUE CHINA

I've never been much into blue, especially not when it comes to interior. My mum is the same (and perhaps also the one to blame for this). I still remember her wondering how people could bring it into their homes. Such a cold color!, she always said (and still does…). And as a child we all know how it goes. It stuck in me, this hate of the blue hue.

Mums might know what's best (at least at that age), but as time flies we also tend to change with it. Tomorrow is always a new chapter. All of a sudden a loathe can turn into love which is exactly what happened to me the other weekend. Just like that I fell for the (forbidden) aforementioned... But don't worry, Mum! My walls will remain white (I'm not head over heels), but when these old blue/white china plates from Rörstrand caught my eye I just had to give in.

Spotted
THAT CHAIR

Spotted this stunning chair both in Nicolas Ghesquière's stylish Paris apartment and at Acne Studios newly opened flagship store on Broadway. Anyone knowing who created such an amazing piece of design?
