Moving Mind

While I'm counting the days to Stockholm I've been having a few things on my mind that I would love to bring in my load.

Maybe this t-shirt is spot on how a country side girl (read me) feel after a while in the hectic city?
'Give Me Some Space' T-shirt from DEDICATED.

My wallet is falling apart. This affordable cutie would be the perfect replacement for my cash and cards.
'Karri' Wallet from MARIMEKKO.

I've been smelling on this candle everytime I've seen it in a store. Its scent has always mesmerized me, but though this I never got down to buying it. I love how scents have such strong association to people, places and memories so I'm thinking this would be a great moving in present to myself as it would forever symbolize this little adventure of mine.
Scented Candle 'Crips Champagne' from VOLUSPA.

Spring aka sneaker season is soon around the corner and right now I feel for a chunkier model on my feet.
'Air Force 1 Upstep' from NIKE.

On My Mind

On the 1st of December we're going to a Christmas show/party and instead of a dress (which I've been wearing every single year = boring!) I feel for something less traditional this time. Yesterday I ordered these Vinyl Pants from MANGO and if they fit I might wear them. Patent can be a bit hard to style and some might even find this high shine fabric kinky. The secret to prevent this is to keep everything else simple and balance up with something more feminine and delicate.

Personally I have a soft spot for ruffles so this Crepe Top from J.CREW would be the perfect match.

Party means dancing so therefore I prefer a slightly lower heel. These Ankle Strap Sandals from NELLY are a real bargain as they are both classic and wallet friendly.

One can always dream, right? These Pearl Drop Earrings from MIZUKI would add just that little extra.

Now when winter is here for real we have to focus even more on hydrating our skin. Right now everyone is buzzing about the sheet mask, but as you know I'm very selective with ingredients I therefore haven't tried one yet. After some Googeling I luckily came across the brand 100% PURE which have three different ones I would love to try! Green Tea Water Bomb Mask from 100% PURE.

My hair heroes are running out so it's time to refill. Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner Duo Gift Set from RAHUA.

Lana Ruffled Crepe top from J.CREW  –  Green Tea Water Bomb Mask from 100% PURE  –  'Sea of Beauty' Keshi Pearl Drop Earrings from MIZUKI  –  Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner Gift Set from RAHUA  –  Vinyl Trousers from MANGO  –  Heel Sandal from NELLY.

The Trend
SHINY SHOES

This autumn we take inspiration from above – the space. Let's switch out our regular black (boring) boots and go for a pair of standout high-shiners. It sure livens up the simplest of outfits. And that is moreover how I personally would style it – with something simple where the shoes add and stand for that little extra. Neutrals such as white, gray and black are always a winner when paired with silver. For inspiration, take a look at Chanel's Fall 2017 to see how I'm thinking.

But if you want to step up the game even more you go for glitter. Save or spend, it's up to you. Feeling for some serious splurging and sparkle then SAINT LAURENT have THE PAIR! No doubt the most buzzed about boots of the season.

Time to get that glitter on, ladies!

Shopping List
LONDON

The days are flying. Only two weeks left until WE are! As the crazy organizer I am, I haven't been doing much the last couple of days except planning, searching and adding pins to my Google Maps (what would I do without this phenomenal app?). As we're staying three nights in London (just booked the hotel last night!) there are a few things I wish to check out and hopefully buy, at least some of them.

But first out we're going for a day trip to Stonehenge. It's been on my list ever since I wrote an essay about it in high school. Everything unexplained and mysterious makes my heart skips a beat.

I've been thinking of buying it so many times, but never seemed to get to the point. It's just that some things I want to buy in a physical store. To see, touch and actually hold it in your hands feels much more special and has a different value. It becomes more of an experience and something you will look back on and remember everytime you use it. Also I guess it's cheaper in the UK as it's the country of manufacture? Anyway – the Rolls Royce of hairbrushes from MASON PEARSON.

I so need to update my lingerie. If it only wasn't so hard finding something that actually fits. Panties, no problem, but bras... Mama Mia. Mission impossible, most of the times. The dreamiest panties to wear down under? LA PERLA, no doubt.

The same goes with my sportswear – update required. Wish to find a pair of organic yoga leggings. Any suggestions? These ATM ANTHONY THOMAS MELILLO Yoga legging in lightweight modal seems oh so comfy.

No wardrobe is complete without a pair of classic go-to pumps. I still don't own those stiletto saviours, but these are by far the most perfect pair if you ask me. BB 90 pumps from MANOLO BLAHNIK.

It's been there since my teens, but though I've been so sick of the ring in my tragus the last couple of years (too big and ugly) I somehow decided to keep it. I want something much more discreet and sophisticated. This little diamond stud earring from MARIA TASH would be just enough spark but still look chic, don't you think?

Like mentioned, Chanel has launched a new EDP, Gabrielle, and I can't wait to smell it! Parfum from CHANEL.

Are you planning any trip soon? If so, what's on your list? xx

The Classic
CAROLYNE

A few weeks ago I was lucky to come across these vintage slingbacks from MANOLO BLAHNIK while browsing through some online consignment shops. As I'm right now focusing on building a simple and timeless wardrobe, these classics couldn't suit better.

Here I've gathered a few pairs for you too! Brand new ones or first come, first served... Happy shopping! xx

TARTAN

'Walk Through Walls' by MARINA ABRAMOVIC  –  Double-breasted checked blazer from MAYLA  –  Sunglasses from MANGO  –  Stockholm T-shirt from TOTÊME  –  Curved stud earrings from COS  –  Original denim light blue from TOTÊME  –  Chain leather bag from MANGO  –  Pocket bristle brush from MASON PEARSON  –  Velvet slingback from MANGO.

This is how I would style the tartan trend. I prefer to put the blazer in the spotlight, to work as the key player. As we all know, this pattern can easily calls good ol grandma to mind, but to avoid and weigh this up I choose a pair of relaxed fit denim in a lighter wash. To make it all pop I go for a bag in red (which is another big trend for autumn/winter), cat eye sunnies and a slingback with a lower heel. Love these Dior-inspired velvet ones from Mango. Though I normally prefer gold instead of silver I go for the later in this case. Silver will add freshness and a much more modern feeling to the outfit. These earrings are spot on. And the book and hairbrush? Well, they're still on my wish list.

New In
SATIN SLIDES

Outside the rain is pouring down, but who cares? It's Friday, I just finished work and now I celebrate the weekend by gliding around with these new satin stunners on my feet. Unfortunately, to my sadness, I have to admit to myself they are a bit too narrow for my wide feet...

So, if someone happen to be interested in buying them (they seem to be sold out everywhere!) – just let me know! They are a 37, fits true to size and have only been worn once (for a short while inside).

Crystal Eye Satin Flat Slide Slippers from NO. 21  –  Mya Knotted Satin Slide Mule from CHARLES BY CHARLES DAVID  –  Fuzzy Knotted Fur Trim Slider from ASOS.

The Classic
BLACK BOOTIE

Forgot to show you these FILIPPA K booties that I bought a few months ago. Sadly my shoe maker (who always used to fix slippery safe soles on my heels) has closed down so due to the simple reason of my own safety I haven't been able to wear these stunners just yet. Outfit coming up now when the snow is finally gone from the streets. Waaaay too long since last time!

Prep In Pastels

Pre-grocery shopping, mentally preparing myself for the cold. Let it be over soon...

You're A Star

The last couple of weeks I've been totally obsessed with everything astrological and how the sun, moon and the entire solar system affect our beings and behaviors. Every since I was I kid I've been mesmerized by the stars and what's out there. I nearly even applied to the Space Science high school in Kiruna, but changed my mind because it was so far away from home. Anyhow there's something appealing with not knowing, don't you think? It triggers our mind and imagination, makes us dream, but also question who and what we really are. Though there are times in life when we feel lost and blank. Like no one understands us, not even ourself sometimes. These moments you should always remember that there's no coincidence that you became the one you are. It's all written in the stars and if we're willing to it can give us guidance and clarity to move forward and become the best version of the one we are meant to be. For new perceptions and knowledge about yourself and the people around you I really recommend you to check out Astro.com.

On My Mind
RAVISHING RED

So, it's been a while and I'm sorry for that. All my waking hours I've spent at work. It's been so busy now when Christmas is around the corner. Thankfully I got a few hours off today so, inspired by the current season, I couldn't resist putting together what I have had in mind lately.

It's said to be a Oscar contender, this intimate portrait of Jackie Kennedy (starred by beautiful Natalie Portman), the First Lady of America in the 1960s. As she is considered to be one of the greatest style icons through history, I hope to get some real style inspiration from this film. Here in Sweden, Jackie is set to be released at the beginning of next year and I just can't wait!

Always a winner. What better way to celebrate the Santa season than with a classic red lip? Personally I go for an organic and cruelty free alternative. Right now I'm very curious to try the Canadian (now LA-based) brand, ILIA. Any experiences?

One of the most inspirational performance artists out there, Marina Ambramovic, recently published her memoirs – 'Walk through walls'. So curious to get a glimpse inside the mind of this powerful woman and her works.

THE MANICURE
Classic red nails by all means, but now I want to twist it up with a little pink, just like Emilia de Poret. So fresh!

DOWN UNDER
Of course you need a party pantie! I just realized I don't own any red underwear so I guess now is the perfect time to invest in some. Lace is always a winner.

If I had the dollars I wouldn't hesitate a second. These stardust stilettos from Christian Louboutin would make you shine brightest on all the upcoming feasts. When you wish upon a star...

On My Mind
BLACK

So, Cyber Week is finally here and we're counting down... First out is Black Friday the 25th of November. With this as an inspiration I thought I should make a collage with different trends and pieces I have in mind at the moment, all in black suitable enough.

THE DOWN JACKET
Like mentioned, this is the it-jacket of the season. This perfect looking style you find at MANGO. I was lucky to find an over-sized one second hand, on the men's section, last year. I will style it with THESE pants and/or with a wide patent belt around the waist.

THE STATEMENT RING
I really love the idea of signature jewelry. That piece you never take off, that has been your true friend for years and years. I myself have this gold ring around my left middle finger. It used to be my mum's and it has been there for over three years now. Though I really feel for a one in a bigger size, a real statement piece, to wear for more festive occasions or just on those days when you feel a little extra something. This silver onyx ring from SOPHIE BUHAI would look stunning around my finger.

THE LUSCIOUS LASHES
Eyes To Kill Excess from GIORGIO ARMANI... Well, I let the name speak for itself.

THE BLING BLING EARRING
If I had to pick one type of jewelry it would certainly be earrings. These knocker earrings from RIVER ISLAND also have that dark romance feeling and would look great paired with a simple black top.

THE CHOKER NECKLACE
Already in January we spotted them on the runway as well as the red carpet. It has taken a while for the high-street stores to jump on the trend, but now we can find them more or less everywhere. I would go for a simple choker in black velvet, like this one from ASOS.

THE SIGNATURE SCENT
To endure the chilly months ahead of us I prefer to spritz on more heavy perfumes with warm, deep and spicy tones. Described as luxurious, sensual and timeless you can't go wrong with this scent from TOM FORD, perfectly packed in an art-deco inspired bottle which adds even more glamour to it.

THE POM POM BEANIE
Some days you really have to unless you don't want a brain freeze. I've seriously been wearing the same dull one the last two years now, one that I found second hand for like 10 SEK. So, I guess it's about time I invest in a new. To cheer this quite boring buy up a little I would go for a black pom pom style, preferably in a cashmere mix. This one from YVES SALOMON would be the dream.

THE VELVET PANT
This season it's all about luxury dark romancefor sure, and what suits better than a pair of velvet pants this time of the year? Personally I love velvet and how it gives your look a posh feeling. A true classic that is always a winner for Christmas with all its feasts and parties. These are a real catch from H&M.

THE ONE-SHOULDER TOP
Like you might remember, I love everything simple that has a twist. Classics that have that little extra something. This asymmetric top from ROLAND MOURET is to die for!

THE PATENT PIECE
I guess no one has missed it? Patent-leather is everywhere this season. If you don't dare going all in on a pair of pants in the must-have material, why not let your shoes stand for the shine instead?

THE SCENTED CANDLE
One of the best things with winter? To light up all the darkness with lots of cozy candles. A quiet night at home is my favorite. If you want to splurge a little extra you go for this masterpiece from FORNASETTI.

THE BIGGER BAG
Whether it's the computer for work or your workout clothes to the gym, this tote from LITTLE LIFFNER is large enough to fit all your necessities in whilst being good looking too. Those silver ring handles are enough reasons to crave it.

THE GO-TO GLOVES
Numerous are the times when I have been torturing my pretty little fingers in the cold due to the lack of appropriate gloves. These classic black suede gloves from RIVER ISLAND would prevent more freezing fingers in the future.

Amsterdam
The City of Bikes

Pedal to the metal so you better watch out. There are bikes everywhere.

The apartment we stayed in was a dream with handmade ceramic lamps all over the ceiling, heavy velvet curtains and funny art objects.

The majority of bikes over cars and all these bridges and canals give a relaxed feeling to this town.

Looked for some 501s, but no buy unfortunately.

Checked out the new perfumes from Louis Vuitton and tried black pumps from Jimmy Choo at de Bijenkorf. No buy here either. The hunt for the perfect ones continue.

I just love all these organic supermarkets everywhere! Ekoplaza, Marqt, Stach... Heaven for a food lover like me.

Day of departure and I don't wanna leave. Amsterdam, I will be back.

DIY: Heel Hot Up

So typical me thinking of something for years instead of just doing it. So, a few years ago I got these black heels from my auntie, but never seemed to find a way to use them. It was something about that little cut that bothered me, but I kept them thinking I'm gonna fix them in some way. Someday. Remember THESE were in my mind for a very long time.

Maybe I should just put a bow on those heels? Hmm... Well...

Of course I didn't. Lack of creativity I guess. The months passed, I tried them on, my feelings hadn't changed, so my poor pumps had to stay there, in the darkness of the closet.

And so the other week, when scrolling through Instagram I fell in love again – this time in a pair of black slippers from H&M's Conscious Exclusive collection

Then the forgotten ones screamed at me – "ACTION!"

And suddenly it was just there – my beloved creativity. I'm telling you, when it hits I'm transformed. I enter that world where I can't be reached. I'm obsessed, possessed and nothing can stop me.

I started off with two satin ribbons (each 50 centimeter long) and some pins to secure the bow before I needled it together.

So, I didn't get much sleep last night, but definitely a "new" pair of stunners! Voilà!

What do you think? Scary enough they turned out to look nearly exactly the same as the ones from H&M now when I looked them up again. Oh well, it's definitely an easy and cheap way to hot up a pair of dull heels. Predict these will be my everyday favorites. A classic with a twist, just the way I like it!

On My Mind

I've said it before, but this winter has really felt like an eternity. It gets worser for every year. I need sunshine. Warmth. Simplicity. Things that make life feel easy. When the sun is shining, I am shining. That's the equation.

To help myself endure the last few months of snow and coldness I dream and wish for lighter, softer colors and do things that makes me happy. Like buying colorful tulips for the weekend, cook a halloumi sallad for lunch (a summer classic of mine) and always make sure to head out and seize those rare rays as soon the sun peeks. It's in the small things. At least I do my best to tell myself so.

BOMBER JACKET
When spotted on shoulders both at Italian it-girl Gilda Ambrosio and our Scandinavian layering expert Pernille Teisbaek during the ongoing fashion weeks, we know this is the coat du jour. I play safe and go for a black one. It lasts for years as this style actually is kind of a classic.
MA1 Zip Bomber jacket from TOPSHOP.

PLYWOOD
What's not to love about this wonderful material? It's both cheap and beautiful (not som often that happens..) and gives warmth and texture to a room. I'm so eager to build/make something with it. Just haven't figured out what yet.

SCENT
Still doesn't own a single scent from this brand, but I would definitely not mind one. The bottles themselves are worth buying them for, especially one of their latest which is a tribute to the nurses who saved thousands of lives on the front lines of World War 1. Great cause and I'm so excited to smell it.
Eau de Perfume 'Rose of no man's land' from BYREDO.

PLATFORMS
It all started when I saw Petra Marklund on the Swedish morning news program, Nyhetsmorgon, a few months ago. She wore the black version of these stunners and since then they have been stuck in my mind. Then I found out they are available in so many other colors too. I mean, look at these pink/copper metallic ones... So awesome!

IPHONE CASE
In Christmas present my dear bf bought me a new cell phone. Of course my new baby needs protection and what would suit better than this one?

El Corte Ingles & Marbella

On Monday we decided to go to Spain's largest department store, El Corte Ingles

... where I found these stunners that I blogged about a few weeks ago. It was so fun to actually see them in real life and to try them on. Have to admit they looked even more smashing in black!

Had to try these way too expensive bras from LA PERLASo beautiful and dreamy, like pure pieces of art!

Tried lots of different sunnies and happened to fall completely in love with a pair from CÉLINE (second ones from the top). Didn't bought them though and thinking of it makes me regret it a little...

The streets in the old town of Marbella are not the most stiletto friendly, but who was I to know.

Though the stone ornaments it was really nice strolling along the narrow streets, in a little slower pace for once. One doesn't always needs to rush. Found two really nice designer consignment shops, both pretty close to each other. Stay tuned for a little guide!

Bow Wow

Bow Slip-on Sneakers from JOSHUA SANDERS.

Speaking about shoes... How cool aren't these bow slip-on sneakers spotted at Paris Fashion Week? Statement shoes for sure!

ATP Atelier

One thing I regret not buying while on Capri was the handmade made-to-measure sandals, so typical for the island. Somehow I just forgot about them and suddenly we were back home again. So, to ease my repentance it was no doubt anymore. These HAD to be mine and now I just couldn't find a better excuse, could I? Do I need to tell you they are perfect?
