I mean, how cool isn't ACNE STUDIOS Fall/Winter campaign? Look at those lacings! The pieces are to die for, sure thing, but if you take a closer look you'll see that it's actually no woman showing off the womenswear in these pictures. It's a 12-year-old boy whose dad is none less than Acne's own creative director, Jonny Johansson. THAT is cool.

“The cut, the shape and the character of the garment is the crucial thing, rather than seeking approval from society or to follow set norms,” the designer explained. “I immediately pictured Frasse, since he embodies this new breed to me. I asked him and I’m happy that he wanted to be a part of the campaign.”

What's not to love about these ad campaigns for spring/summer 2015?

71-year-old folk music legend Joni Mitchell for Saint Laurent, Italian grandmothers in golden tiaras for Dolce & Gabbana and 80-year-old novelist Joan Didion for Céline, shot by Juergen Teller, in her Upper East side apartment.

The tide is turning.

This cool crew of golden oldies surely confirms that style and beauty truly is timeless.

When looking at Celine's Spring/Summer campaign I can't help but thinking of my wonderful grandma and an old vintage blouse she used to wear. Already at that young age I remember myself adoring its colors and oddness. This blouse was the perfect reflection of her personality; eccentric and theatrical. You couldn't miss that this lady loved to dress up. Chic hats, pleated skirts and always matching scarves in all colors of the rainbow. And not to mention her jewelry, hidden in a white neat drawer in her bedroom… (My idea of Pandora's box, if you would have asked me, that little girl, back then). I still remember how I used to sit in front of her round mirror, all covered up with pearls, glimmering stones and everything in between, putting on all that my tiny body could hold, wishing that one day I would be like her. And well, sitting here writing all this makes me realize that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Thank you, mommo. I miss you xx

So, what happened with that outstanding blouse? Ooh... You know me, don't you? Of course it's in great custody. And something else that's pretty certain is that these crazily cool colors need to be taken out for a stroll sooo very soon. I mean... Duty calls, right?

ZUPER ZARA!

The campaigns for fall have started to roll in one by one and I have to admit I'm longing to layer up a bit. On the other hand I feel a bit panicked over all my unworn summer outfits (!!!)... Shame on me. Hopefully the summer hasn't left yet so I get the change to wear them very soon! xx

Zara's campaign is definitely one of my favourites. That lace slip dress... Ahhh-mazing!

SHE'S ECLECTIC
