London Baby!

Let's continue the UK bonanza with another outfit from our stay in London. One thing I love about this city are all these beautiful houses everywhere. Black and white is always a winning combo. And spring, can you please come now? I can't wait to wear open heels and sandals again.

L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele
LONDON

Remember the movie Eat, Pray, Love when Elisabeth Gilbert (played by Julia Roberts) says she's having a relationship with her pizza? Well, this is actually THE restaurant and destination if you too feel for a slice of love.

At the opening back in February 2017 it took hours to even get in and with only two varieties on the menu (margherita and marinara, both seen above) this place witnessed about something special. If you ask me, it sure was. I had the double buffalo mozzarella and I'm telling you – I was just as mesmerized as Elisabeth. These pizzas are heavenly!

Oh, and when you're in the neighborhood!
There's a great designer consignment boutique, Strut, just a two minute walk away, well worth a visit. I'll show you what I brought to the fitting room in another post...

Snapshots
UK

Me at Stonehenge. Finally I could tick them off my bucket list. Lucky girl!

I so wished to walk closer, but unfortunately the stone circle is roped off. This is about the closest you get.

The mandatory stroll in St Albans Cathedral. Here you can spend hours admiring all the incredible artwork.  –  This cottage though. Can it get more classic?

These halloumi sticks at Bill's. Food porn 2.0!  –  Another must that doesn't need any further explanation.
This time at The Wellington. Yum!

London, baby!  –  ... where I ran between all these designer consignment shops. A medal to bf who coped and carried on. Sadly no scoop this time.

London Eye. The height is beyond belief. Such a cool and indescribable feeling though.
Go, go, go if you get the change!

All these amazing window displays... Here's Louis Vuitton's at Harrods. –  Vintage gems in Portobello.

More candy coloured houses, please!

Strolled through the green tunnel in Princess Diana's Memorial Garden.

Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park further away.

Guy Fawkes Night in Verulamium Park, St Albans. The party continued at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks. –  The Vintage Emporium in St Albans. This treasure trove is a must visit if you love rare vintage pieces. I got lost for hours...

Last night we went to Côte where I had the most lovely seabass.  –  Bye for this time!

Better late than ever, right? Here's a few pics from our two weeks in England back in October/November(!). Everyone says it always rainy, but we were so lucky with only one or two days of that. I bring the sunshine where I go, la la la... Enjoy! xx

Stockholm,
HERE I COME!

It's not often I write about personal stuff over here, but due to my excitement I just can't resist sharing these news with you – in a few weeks I'm moving to Stockholm!

Still can't believe it's actually happening, but truth is I've been having this dream on and off for quite some years now – to try out the city life and live all by myself for once. We all know how fast those years fly and as I just recently turned 28(!) I felt it was now or never. Can't wait to see what our beautiful capital has to offer. At the same time I have to admit, as the home-loving lady I am, it's actually a bit heavy-hearted to leave my peaceful Norrland, my home and all my loved ones, but I guess that's what we all need sometimes – to do what scares us the most and just throw ourselves out there, don't you think?

Though I've prepared a few more posts from our stay in the UK, so check back in if you're curious! xx

Designer Vintage Store

AMSTERDAM

In May 2013, Holland's most famous fashion and celebrity stylist, Danie Bles, opened the doors to her very own designer vintage store. The little boutique is located on the cosy and fashionable Cornelis Schuytstraat. Here you'll find everything from that floral Dolce & Gabbana blouse to a chic Chanel suit. The range is very wide (and include bags, shoes, jewelry and even some fashion books too) so it's hard NOT finding something you love. Well worth a visit!

La Doyenne Vintage
AMSTERDAM

While planning for our London trip and thinking about traveling in general I just saw that I have forgot to publish all posts about the vintage shops I visited in Amsterdam! It's scary how time flies... Can't believe it's over a year ago already! Amsterdam is such a lovely city that I hope to visit soon again.

After reading so much about this little place I sure had to pay it a visit.

First you have Van Nie Antiquairs, an antique shop with the most decorative and luxurious pieces. Think huge handpainted jars in blue white porcelain and big baroque mirrors. To shop here you need and even bigger wallet, but having a look and to be inspired is always free.

Downstairs you'll find one of the most luxurious vintage boutiques in Amsterdam, La Doyenne Vintage. This is a paradise for those who love some real designer classics and haute couture. A vintage Chanel bag, a Hermès scarf or that little black dress – it's all there, handpicked and in perfect condition, waiting to be loved again. This hidden gem oozes of French elegance and chicness with its warm and flawless interior decor. The owner, Evelyne, was very friendly and she played so great music I had to ask for the artist. This place is a MUST!

Time To Travel
UK CALLING

Twiggy, shot by Ronald Traeger for British Vogue July 1967, Battersea Park, London.

It might be Monday and grey outside, but my mood at the moment is spot on like Twiggy's. Last night we booked UK for two weeks in October/November so now I'm all about planning what to see and do over there. So exciting! If you have any suggestions and musts, please let me know! xx

Van Ravenstein
AMSTERDAM

If your looking for the new high-end fashion, this is the right destination for you. Here you'll find the latest it-pieces, mainly from Dutch and Belgian designers such as Dries van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester and Veronique Leroy, mixed with international labels like J.W Anderson, Junya Watanabe and the currently hyped Vetements

Going on a Saturday? Don't miss to check out their OUTLET in the basement, open every Saturday between 10:30 and 17:30. Here you can pick up some real designer bargains!

Sadly I wasn't there for a Saturday, but though it was closed the super friendly woman let me down there anyway. Always remember to be polite and have a warm smile. That will take you far in life. x

¡Vamos A La Playa!

Neon Umbrellas by Gray Malin.

GLOBETROTTERS, listen up!

I need your advice. Where to go for Christmas and New Years? My nephew will only be a year by then so we don't want to go too far. Still we want summer temperature and to stay in a private house or flat near the beach. First we looked at Gran Canaria, but it seems a bit hard to find a nice accommodation to a reasonable price so now I'm about to check Lanzarote instead. Puh! It really takes a lot of time planning a trip for 7 people...

Where have you been? What is your experiences and recommendations?

Or maybe YOU (or someone you know) rent out a place?

Étoile De Saint Honoré
Amsterdam

Ok, it took a while, but here's another boutique well worth going to if you're planning a trip to Amsterdam.

Like I mentioned, I wished to find a classic vintage bag while in town so of course I had to visit this little boutique, Étoile De Saint Honoré, which is specialized in luxury pre-owned handbags. Unfortunately I didn't find "the one" this time, but they sure store some amazing trophies. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermés to name a few. Imagine to one day own your very own Kelly or Birkin...

Tamago
Amsterdam

Like you all know, I'm crazy about designer consignment shops when I'm going to a new city. First stop was Tamago in the downtown area.

Here you'll find both vintage and new designer collections, often with an eccentric and exceptional touch. The shop is in perfect size, on two floors, with a light interior. Well worth a visit!

Hunting In The Heat

Sunglasses  –  H&M  //  Knit, blazer & bag  –  Vintage/2nd hand  //  Trousers  –  FILIPPA K  //  Sneakers  –  ADIDAS.

¡Hola chicas! Monday again. How time flies, don't you think? Mondays are actually one of my favorite days. It feels like a fresh blank page and an opportunity to start all over again (with what ever that might be?). What's your favorite day?

I just went through my Amsterdam folder and found this outfit that I forgot to show you. This is what I wore one day in town, when I was hunting around for designer second hand/vintage shops (my Amsterdam shopping guide is coming soon, stay tuned!). The weather was so amazing the whole time so this was almost too hot to wear. Comfy shoes are a must though!

rewardStyle Masterclass
Stockholm

The restaurant was so cozy, with a nice table setting.

We got the opportunity to check out some great pieces from River Island (who hosted the event). I fell in love with the turquoise sequin top and a black aviator jacket, which would both suit me perfect this autumn/winter.

The event was held at Trattorian, a Tuscan restaurant located on Norr Mälarstrand. Here we were served some delicious canapés, a glass with buffalo mozzarella and smoked tomatoes and a lovely drink. So yummy!

Before we all left we got a little present from River Island...

On Tuesday morning I flew down to Stockholm to attend rewardStyle Masterclass. For those not familiar with what they do, here's a short explanation:

rewardStyle is an invitation-only web-tool that helps bloggers and other style influencers to monetize their content.

Easy explained – if you buy something I blog about I get a certain commission. So great, uh?

So, a few weeks ago I got invited to attend their Masterclass held in Stockholm. I've been part of this platform for quite some years now, but this was the first event I've been to. There was a lot to take in, but necessary things to know if you want to grown your business.

A HUGE THANK YOU to rewardStyle for such an inspiring and informative night! I really learned a lot and feel so motivated to keep on doing what I love.

Thank You and hope seeing you soon again! xx

Amsterdam
The City of Bikes

Pedal to the metal so you better watch out. There are bikes everywhere.

The apartment we stayed in was a dream with handmade ceramic lamps all over the ceiling, heavy velvet curtains and funny art objects.

The majority of bikes over cars and all these bridges and canals give a relaxed feeling to this town.

Looked for some 501s, but no buy unfortunately.

Checked out the new perfumes from Louis Vuitton and tried black pumps from Jimmy Choo at de Bijenkorf. No buy here either. The hunt for the perfect ones continue.

I just love all these organic supermarkets everywhere! Ekoplaza, Marqt, Stach... Heaven for a food lover like me.

Day of departure and I don't wanna leave. Amsterdam, I will be back.

Exhibition Night

Blazer  –  MANGO  //  Bag  –  from Egypt  //  Earrings, fur stole & bracelet  –  Vintage/2nd hand  //  Heels  –  MANOLO BLAHNIK.

Here are a few more pics of what I was wearing to Nina's vernissage. When others were sliding around in comfy sneakers, I strut around in 11 centimeters Manolos... Well, I guess you can't always be a chameleon. On the other hand, you should always be yourself, right? I love to dress up a little extra a little now and then, and especially for rare occasions like this. I'm so proud of my friend, showing here amazing art in such a cool gallery. You owned it, babe! xx
